Experience authentic Italian fine dining in the comfort of your own home. Chef Michele Guarneri, born and trained in Italy’s finest kitchens, brings the flavours of Piemonte to Sydney — one carefully crafted course at a time.
There is a world of difference between a caterer who cooks Italian food and an actual Italian chef who carries generations of tradition in every dish.
When you hire an Italian private chef, you are not just booking a meal — you are inviting a culinary tradition that has been perfected over centuries into your home.

Chef Michele Guarneri grew up in the rolling hills of Piemonte, northern Italy — a region famous for its truffles, Barolo wines and rich culinary heritage. He learned to cook from his grandmother before training in some of Italy’s most celebrated Michelin-starred kitchens.
After honing his craft across Italy and Europe, Michele brought his passion and expertise to Sydney. Today, he leads Michelone at Home, cooking personally at every event — bringing the same precision, authenticity and warmth he learned in Italy’s finest restaurants directly to your table.

For me, cooking is not just a profession — it is who I am. I grew up watching my nonna make pasta by hand every Sunday. That same love, the same traditions, the same recipes passed down through generations — that is what I bring to your table here in Sydney.
An Italian private chef like Michele brings authentic technique, traditional recipes and imported Italian ingredients. Everything is cooked fresh in your kitchen — from handmade pasta to slow-braised sauces — rather than reheated or assembled from pre-made components. The result is a genuine Italian dining experience, not just Italian-themed food.
Michele serves all of Sydney and greater NSW, including Sydney CBD, Eastern Suburbs, Northern Beaches, North Sydney, Parramatta, Surry Hills, Bondi, Mosman and the Blue Mountains. He also caters on yachts and at private venues across the region.
Absolutely. Michele designs every menu from scratch, so he can accommodate gluten-free, vegetarian, vegan, halal and allergy-specific requirements while maintaining the authentic Italian character of each dish.
A typical Italian private chef dinner includes 4 to 6 courses, following the traditional Italian structure: Antipasti, Primi (pasta or risotto), Secondi (main course), and Dolci (dessert). Additional courses such as Contorno (sides) or a cheese course can be added.
We recommend booking at least 2 weeks in advance to allow time for menu planning and ingredient sourcing. However, Michele can sometimes accommodate shorter timelines — get in touch and we will do our best.
Tell me about your occasion — I'll personally design an Italian menu and get back to you within 24 hours.
